During the live weekly cerebral palsy Twitter chat #CPChatNow Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 a re-occurring subject throughout #CPChatNow’s almost two-year history took center stage, music. Known passionate music fan, our own Hannah Pike led us in a focus chat titled “Finding Comfort in Music.”
The conversation revealed the great impact music can make on one’s life.
Much like you will see the occasional news story where a person meets the first responder who saved his or her life, imagine what you might say to the songwriter responsible for your favorite song. Hannah left us envisioning just that!
What about you? Keep the conversation going and answer for this week’s Extend-the-Conversation question, If you could meet the songwriter of your favorite song what would you tell them about how it’s impacted you? Leave your answer in the “Comments” section!
Another question Hannah asked which stimulated discussion involved the stories behind songs.
In addition to the questions Hannah prepared, participants asked their own questions. For example, my co-host Blake Henry took time away from his busy college schedule to ask a question.
All together Hannah’s led “Finding Comfort in Music” focus chat featured fun dialogue while demonstrating music’s power! Remember you can still contribute to the discussion via the Extend-the-Conversation question. If you could meet the songwriter of your favorite song what would you tell them about how it’s impacted you?
Respond in the “Comments” section.
One final thank you goes out to Hannah for sharing her passion for music with the #CPChatNow community. Anyone interested in leading a focus chat should contact Blake and I so us three (me, you, and Blake) can begin brainstorming ideas!
Lastly, clocks change on the east coast over the weekend. Double check to see if the time switch effects the time #CPChatNow starts in your area next Wednesday.
Later!
